French/Vintage Inspired Photo Shoot

Kate recently had the pleasure of working with a number of people to produce this beautiful photo shoot that was photographed by  Anthony Hoang and featured in Hello May. This is just a little glimpse for more flower photos pop over to Kate Dawes or for the magazine feature visit Hello May.

Soft textures and colours in muted shades of peach, pink, Wedgewood blue and mauve set the palette for this vintage/French Inspired wedding

The flowers give a quirky French “look” with a slightly vintage feel. The touches of lavender used among the table flowers through to the creeping vine on the ceremony doors emulate the French element

I used some White porcelain and vintage style glass vases to create the table settings….all available for hire

The Vintage look was created by using David Austin and open garden roses, Queen Anne Lace, Dusty Miller as well as other interesting textures in foliage, flowers and berries

As many of you know, Kate participated in A Very Vintage Wedding Fair last weekend, but before she showcased her vintage inspired flower designs, she worked alongside the fairs organisers in a promotional photo shoot that screamed all things 60s and 40s.

Naturally Neon

One only needs to look to the streets to see the neon trend in full force. Fashionistas and fashionmisters of all ages are changing the way people see neon, from tight and bright, to fluro fresh. Fluorescent palettes have also become extremely popular in art galleries all over the world, with artists like Yago Hortal making a name for himself with his neon canvases.

So why not bring a little neon to your home this Christmas and deck out your living room with a bit of colour. Have a look at our fun play date with neon, Christmas and of course, flowers. Enjoy!

Playing with Peonies: Coral Charm Peony

One of the most popular flowers for brides, the Coral Charm Peony infuses a mix of pretty and bold. When used in bouquets, completely opened buds can offer a soft fluffy texture, however if used in bullet form can help emphasise the intense colour of the flower, within an arrangement.
