Playing with Peonies: Coral Charm Peony

One of the most popular flowers for brides, the Coral Charm Peony infuses a mix of pretty and bold. When used in bouquets, completely opened buds can offer a soft fluffy texture, however if used in bullet form can help emphasise the intense colour of the flower, within an arrangement.

We’ve done a little experiment in the Kate Dawes office, watching the progress of a single Coral Charm Peony. Have a look at how beautiful the petals and colours can develop, all in a matter of hours.

The relationship between floristry and interiors is becoming more and more popular as we are finding it an exciting feat to be able to decorate our homes according to our own personalities and individual colour palettes. Flowers are not only being used as complementing pieces in our favourite rooms but as centre pieces. We are also experimenting in our wardrobes with women sourcing fashion inspiration from everywhere, whether it be a piece of art work by Yago Hortal or even a wedding bouquet from, of  course, Kate Dawes (naturally). Don’t be afraid to try out something different, you’d be surprised what colour ideas you’ll find in your garden. Go on… Have a look.

Bohemian Mix

For the bride with a carefree and creative flair, these bohemian arrangements will add a unique touch to your special day. Kate found she was able to extend her creativity with this theme, through the sourcing of each flower. These bouquets really place emphasis on the flowers, more so then any other theme. With the help of Brisbane wedding and engagement photographer Ryder Evans, Kate was able to really capture the beauty of a bohemian mix.
